Welcome to issue 56 of our Printing Plus newsletter and the last issue for 2009.
As this year draws to a close, it continues to be one of the hardest trading years we have endured. As for many industries, the economic recession has impacted heavily on the commercial print industry, often causing growth and development strategies to be put on hold. In many instances restructuring has taken place and rationalisation of both human and technological resources has been evident. For Print House the last calendar year has reflected this, so it is with optimism that I now look forward to a much improved business environment in 2010. While it has been a challenging year I still firmly believe that operating with good internal systems, enhancing business associations and working with integrity will pay long term dividends. I would openly like to thank the staff at Print House who have shouldered some of the challenges they have been presented with and for accommodating the ever-changing circumstances that tend to arise in such challenging times. Throughout the year we have continued to present you with greater awareness of how your print purchasing choices can impact on the environment. In this issue we have also highlighted the reasons that we love paper and print, and why paper and print continue to have great environmental credentials.
More recently, we secured the tender to produce the Waikato Diocesan centenary book which we have profiled along with other projects including the Go Waihi tourism booklet and Spartan Construction's custom made presentation folder. We wish these organisations and all our clients every success in 2010 and hope we will all forge ahead in our endeavours, whatever they may be. We hope you enjoy this issue and look forward to working with you next year. Yours in print,
