Transport and General Engineering Company Limited (T&G) began trading in Hamilton in 1955, manufacturing steel truck and trailer bodies.Ý
The business was proving to be successful; however T&G recognised the need to be innovative in the changing climate of the transport industry during the late 60's with demand growing for lighter tare weights and greater payloads.
In 1969 T&G pioneered and manufactured the very first aluminium body to be built in New Zealand. It was a breakthrough in tare weight. Critics said "It wouldn't last and wasn't strong enough," yet T&G challenged that disbelief and proved them wrong!
56 years later, T&G are still market leaders in the heavy transport industry and continue to develop new and innovative products to meet the needs of today's transporters.
Company and product promotion is also a department in which T&G impress. Notable is their most recent series of brochures designed and printed by Print House.
Each brochure is topic specific - 'Customised Tractor Unit Setups', 'Trailers' and 'Clients Testimonials', following the same stylish theme which epitomises T&G in their pursuit of excellence.
Ranging in size from 8-16 pages plus cover the A4 brochures have been printed in 4-colour process with saddlestitch binding.
Produced on 150gsm (inside pages) and 350gsm (cover) Neo Satin stock, the brochures make an eye-catching display.
